If you are less than 21 years old and living with your parent(s), then your parents' resources and income can be deemed available to you for purposes of determining your Medicaid financial eligibility.
NOTE: When the Social Security Administration determines SSI financial eligibility and SSI cash benefit amount, the age limit for parental deeming is 19. For those who receive Medicaid as SSI recipients, however, this difference has no effect since the SSI rules prevail in this circumstance.
