VA Medically Indigent

The Medicaid Medically Indigent (MI) category of Medicaid Covered Groups includes the Medicare Related Covered Groups, ABD with Income 80% of FPL, Pregnant Women and Infants, and Children under age 19. (See: Children ages 1 to 6 and Children ages 6 to 19.)

These groups all have income eligibility limits related to the Federal Poverty Level. See the links in the first paragraph above for information about the specific income limits.

Most of these groups (except the ABD with Income 80% of FPL group) have higher resource limits or no resource limits. (See Medicaid Resource Limits.)
