Unemployment Insurance - Maintaining Eligibility

In order to remain eligible to receive Unemployment Insurance, you must:

·         When directed, you must report to your local Unemployment Insurance Claims Office or Employment Service Office on the day and at the time you are scheduled to do so. If you fail to report as scheduled for any one of these interviews, benefits may be denied. If you miss a scheduled appointment, report as soon as possible to your local unemployment office and remember to bring your claim documents for the current weeks.

·         You must not refuse any offer of suitable work: This means that if a suitable job is offered to you, you must take it. If you refuse, you may be denied benefits.

·         You must continue to meet the general eligibility requirements.
