WorkWORLD asks what State you live in so that it can tailor the results you obtain to the specific benefit rules and amounts in your State.
After you initially select your State of residence, WorkWORLD "remembers" your State and uses it as the default for each new file and situation you create. You will change the default if you select a different State when you answer the State question in a subsequent situation. The default will always be the last selection you made to the State question.
Many benefit programs have different rules depending on which State you live in. We are striving to include as many of these State differences in WorkWORLD as possible. This version of WorkWORLD takes into account SSI State Supplements in all of the States that have federally administered State Supplements.
In addition, this version of WorkWORLD contains specific information concerning a variety of disability and welfare benefits for the States listed below. These states have customized Benefit Information Systems (BIS) integrated into WorkWORLD.
· Delaware
· Georgia
· Iowa
· Oklahoma
· Virginia
For the rest of the States, WorkWORLD includes information about the types and amounts of SSI State Supplement provided and the State 1619(b) Threshold amounts, as well as a variety of other information that varies by State.
