Enter the amount of earnings that is Special Pay for being exposed to Hostile Firel
You should annualize the hostile fire pay using the same method you used in determining your total family earned income amount.
For example:
· If you annualized your April income by multiplying it by 12, and there was no hostile fire pay included in that amount because the military member is exposed to hostile fire only in the summer, then do not enter any hostile fire pay here.
· If, on the other hand, you annualized your July income by multiplying it by 12, and your July income included the hostile fire pay, then multiply that month's pay by 12 even if the military member is only exposed to hostile fire during the summer.
· Finally, if in determining your total family earned income you simply included the total amount of hostile fire pay that the military member expects to earn that year, then enter that amount here.
WorkWORLD subtracts all hostile fire pay in calculating your family's financial eligibility and rent payment amount.
