Getting EITC

You can receive your Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC) (sometimes called EIC) either through your payroll check or as a tax refund. The amount of credit you can receive varies with your earnings and the number of children you have. Since many people who are eligible for EITC do not collect it, you should consult with a tax advisor if you have significant earnings.

Note that EITC payments do not affect most benefits. They can, however, affect the amount of rental assistance you may receive.

Note also that some States offer an earned income credit in addition to the Federal EITC.
