DE Alert: Not Eligible for HCB Waiver with Protected Resources

You are not financially eligible for Medicaid under a Home and Community Based (HCB) Waiver because either:

· Your countable income (not including any income your community spouse may have) exceeds 250% of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Federal Benefit Rate (FBR); or

· The combined countable resources of you and your community spouse exceeds the sum of the HCB resource limit and the maximum amount protected under the Spousal Impoverishment provisions.
