Alert: You are not eligible for MassHealth Standard despite your disability

You are not eligible for MassHealth Standard coverage despite the fact that you have a disability because:

·   You are not eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or the SSI work incentive called 1619(b); and

·   Your family countable income exceeds the income limit of 133% of the federal poverty guidelines for your size family.

NOTE: The Division of Medical Assistance (DMA) will give Transitional Medical Assistance (TMA) for up to 12 months to parents and caretaker relatives of children under age 19 (and their children) if they have become ineligible for MassHealth Standard because the family’s income has gone up as a result of a family member returning to work or getting a raise.

Note that if you are under age 19 or pregnant, you may qualify under the higher limits for people in those situations (150% for under age 19 and 200% for pregnant women). If you are in one of those situations another Text Result will inform you of your eligibility under the appropriate limit.
