VA Alert - Losing SSI May Affect Others' Medicaid Eligibility

When you become financially ineligible for SSI and SSI-related Medicaid, your income and resources may be counted in determining the Medicaid eligibility of others in your family. You may become a member of their Medicaid Assistance Unit; or you may have your income and resources deemed available to the unit.

Contact the Department of Social Services (DSS) to find out the effects of your losing SSI on the Medicaid eligibility of others in your family.
