Unemployment benefits can be paid to you only if you are unemployed through no fault of your own. If any of the following conditions applies to you, you may be disqualified from benefits, either indefinitely or for a set period of time:
· If you voluntarily quit your job without good cause, or if you voluntarily chose to retire,
· If you were terminated from your job because of misconduct,
· If your unemployment is due to a labor dispute, or
· If you refuse suitable work.
Other disqualifications may be determined by your state. Disqualifications can be appealed.
