In the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly Food Stamp Program), in addition to the cost of the wood itself, New Hampshire residents can include the costs associated with cutting wood if burning wood is their primary source of heat. These additional costs may include such things as cutting permits or equipment such as a chainsaw.
