Alert: Your EIC may Change your Rent

Although the amount of your Earned Income Credit (EIC) does not affect most disability and welfare benefit programs, it does affect the amount of Federal rental assistance you receive. Therefore, if your EIC changes, the amount you must pay in rent may also change.

This version of WorkWORLD does not calculate changes in your rental assistance as your EIC benefit changes. You should contact the agency that administers your rental assistance program to find out the amount of increase or decrease, if any, in your subsidy and rent.
