Aging Services - Legal Support - Oklahoma

Legal Services Development (405) 522-33638 is responsible for providing technical assistance on legal matters affecting older Oklahomans. Legal Services offers educational presentations on legal issues of interest to the elderly, as well as individual legal assistance.

The State Legal Services Developer does not represent Aging Services Division or the Department of Human Services, nor does the Legal Services Developer represent individual clients. The Developer does, however, provide free legal information on a wide range of issues affecting older Oklahomans and can explain how to obtain the free legal representation offered to any Oklahoman 60 and older under the Older Americans Act.

The Legal Services Developer is available to attorneys, paralegals and advocacy groups for free consultation on the following legal issues:

· guardianship and alternatives

· end-of-life decision making

· use of Tobacco Trust distributions for the health and well-being of senior adults

· alternative dispute resolutions

· pending legislation
