VA TANF Note: Full Employment Program (FEP)

Because the parent or caretaker relative participates in the VIEW Full Employment Program (FEP), the pay for FEP work should be at least as much as the monthly TANF benefits that were last paid before participating in FEP.

If the FEP participant works less than 20 hours per week for "good cause", then the Assistance Unit should receive a supplemental TANF check that is calculated using the VIEW grant calculations.

Good cause includes circumstances beyond the participant's control, such as but not limited to, loss of child care, transportation, illness of the FEP participant or a family member, or another emergency situation.
