VA Question: Infant Care Cost - TANF

Enter the amount your family actually pays for infant care cost for infants up to the age of two.

Do not include any amount that is reimbursed by the Department of Social Services (DSS) or other agency.

NOTE: Infant Care expenses can only be deducted when the infant is a member of the TANF Assistance Unit. So expenses for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients may not be deducted.

WorkWORLD will deduct that amount (up to $200 per infant) from the earnings of a full-time worker -- or up to $120 per infant from the earnings of a part-time worker. (See VA TANF - Gross Countable Income for details.)
