Enter the amount your family actually pays for child care for children age two or over, but under age 18.
Do not include any amount that is reimbursed by the Department of Social Services (DSS) or other agency.
NOTE: Child Care expenses can only be deducted when the child is a member of the TANF Assistance Unit. So expenses for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients may not be deducted.
WorkWORLD will deduct that amount (up to $175 per child) from the earnings of a full-time worker -- or up to $120 per child from the earnings of a part-time worker. (See VA TANF - Gross Countable Income for details.)
