Program Requirements - SNAP (Food Stamps)

In the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly Food Stamp Program), household members may have to meet certain program requirements in order to receive or continue receiving benefits. As a condition of eligibility, your household may be required to cooperate with child support enforcement requirements or to participate in employment activities such as a work program.

In addition, changes must be reported in a timely manner. Any change in income, assets, or household composition must be reported within ten days of the occurrence to the issuing authority. A change in income or household composition may result in an increase or decrease of your benefits.
