Medicaid Program - Mechanical Ventilator Dependent HCBW - South Carolina

The Medical Ventilator Dependent Home and Community Based Waiver (HCBW) is designed to serve Medicaid eligible persons 21 years old or older who are dependent upon mechanical ventilation, meet the nursing facility level of care criteria, and have long term care needs. Recipients receive services to supplement care in the home. A waiting list applies.

Services in the Mechanical Dependent Ventilator Waiver include:

·          Personal Care II

·          Personal Care I (Homemaker)

·          Environmental Modification

·          Private Duty Nursing

·          Respite Care

·          Personal Emergency Response System

·          In-Home Respite Care

·          Specialized Medical Equipment and Supplies

·          Prescription Drugs

Additional Information
