DE Alert: Losing SSI May Affect Others' FPL-Related Medicaid

When you lose eligibility for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and its associated Medicaid coverage, you may become a part of the Medicaid Family Budget Group of others in your family who are covered under FPL-Related Medicaid. Your income would then be counted in determining the eligibility of those in the Budget Group.

To find out what would happen, create a new situation. Choose "None" in answer to the question about your covered group, and choose "Other FPL-Related" in answer to the question asking for which Medicaid covered group you want eligibility information.

Be sure to check your answers about Budget Group size and incomes of Budget Group members to ensure that they are correct for this covered group when you become a member.
