Current Situation

The first column of input boxes in each WorkWORLD file should be used to describe your current situation. Its results are the base-line against which you can compare the effects of using SSI Work Incentives, SSDI (Title II) Work Incentives, Food Stamps Work Incentives, Section 8 Work Incentives, and/or going to work or increasing your earnings.

Note that unlike the other four columns (the "What-If?" situation columns) the first column can not be deleted. WorkWORLD assumes that the current situation column contains facts rather than changeable "What-Ifs". If you made a mistake in entering those facts, you can always go back and change your answers. (See Navigating WorkWORLD for information about moving about and entering data. See the Tutorial Examples for guided lessons in using WorkWORLD.)

NOTE: SSA now offers a free Benefits Planning Query (BPQY) report that contains much of the detailed information needed to accurately answer the Current Situation questions.
