To receive part-time care through the ABC Special Needs Voucher program, an applicant must be working at least fifteen (15) hours per week on a regular basis. For full-time care, the applicant must regularly work at least thirty (30) hours per week.
An applicant’s hours of employment must correspondent with the hours of daycare services. The only exceptions granted would be for applicants who work third shift and need daytime care in order to sleep. A child must need at least twelve (12) hours of day care per week to qualify for after school services.
Applicants in school or training programs are approved by the semester, quarter, or period they are in training. A new school schedule and verification form must be submitted each semester/quarter to receive additional services.
New mothers will be given six (6) weeks after giving birth to return to school/work.
